Your Questions, Answered
What inspires your art style?
My art is deeply inspired by the Australian flora and fauna, as well as my experiences growing up in the country. Each piece is an exploration of nature, storytelling, and a touch of the surreal.
What medium do you use to create your artworks?
I primarily use Winsor and Newton water based oils on linen or board for my paintings while my mixed media pieces often include watercolour, graphite, alcohol markers, inks and coloured pencils. My ceramic pieces are a white stoneware paper clay.
Do you accept custom commissions?
Yes, I’m open to creating custom pieces tailored to your preferences. Commissions typically involve a consultation to discuss size, medium, and subject matter. Please reach out via my contact page to start the conversation!
How large are your pieces and how long do they take to create?
My drawings range from A5 to A2 in size while paintings range from 30 x 30cm to 72cm x 101cm. They can take anywhere from a few days up to six weeks to paint depending on the size, media and detail.
What is a giclée print?
A giclée print is a high quality reproduction of an original artwork using long life pigment inks on acid-free paper. They have a high archival permanence that retains their image quality for 100 years.
My prints are printed onto Textured Rag paper or Satin Gloss Rag, 100% cotton, acid-free, 310gsm.
Can I use your art on my website/social media account?
Not without consent by the artist. All work remains copyright of the artist.
How are your prints packaged and posted?
Prints are shipped within tubes with a protective paper lining without framing or matting. Giclee prints are sent through a private courier or Australia Post and shipping times vary according to location.
All giftcards, postcards and merchandise is posted via Australia post.
International orders are posted either by Economy Airmail or Standard Airmail with tracking. Postage prices are calculated by weight and please note that any custom charges are the responsibility of the customer.
How do I preserve my print?
Try to handle your print as little as possible.
Don't laminate the print.
Have your print framed by a professional framer so that it can be sealed correctly with protective UV glass.
The foam core backing for your print should be acid free, as should its mat border.
Avoid subjecting your framed giclée to UV light, extreme temperature fluctuations or excess humidity.
What are your payment options?
With larger items the artist does on negotiation accept split payments with a 10% non refundable deposit.
The artwork will be posted to the client once the artwork and the postage has been paid in full.
All payments must be made in full within six months from the initial deposit otherwise the artwork will be retained by the artist and the deposit forfeited.
Can I return an item for refund or exchange?
Unfortunately, I don’t accept cancellations or exchanges for change of mind. Returns are only accepted if an item arrives faulty or damaged. Please get in touch within 7 days of receiving your order to discuss any issues.
